Allocation of departure and arrival slots are compulsory for all flights at Stockholm-Arlanda according to the Regulation (EC) No 793/2004 : At coordinated airport, access for an air carrier or any other aircraft operator is only possible if a slot has been allocated.

Departure and arrival of following aircrafts are exempt from the rule of allocation of slots
  • Aircraft using the airport as an alternate for provable meteorological, technical or other safety reasons
  • Aircraft on an emergency mission
  • Helicopters
